Hello,

I can not register in the forum, but why not make it a requirement that you own “Ufo: Enemy Unkown / XCom: Defense” to play “UFO: TTS”. Just see “corsix-th” (Theme Hospital) and OpenTTD (Transport tycoon).

I agree with Junmarko, there was no reason to stop development unless you actually got some kind of cease & desist, and I don’t even see that happening since what you were working on was essentially a mod of the original game, especially considering it required the original game to function properly.

If you were planning on going for a ‘completely from the ground up’ approach, you CAN’T just consider the look and feel as IP. Guessing maybe the “Apple suing everyone over anything remotely similar” mentality some companies use got you guys scared over nothing though.

All this work and you guys just stop, without anyone mentioning legal issues – and yet rather based on your ‘internet research’. Grow some balls and keep working on it!
